About the Role
Join a growing, forward-thinking Specialist Practice and Advice Team within the London Borough of Hounslow. We are expanding and evolving our Specialist Practice & Advice Service and are looking for passionate and motivated Occupational Therapists to join us at an exciting time of transformation. The therapy team is part of a newly developing multi-disciplinary service that brings together Occupational Therapists, Speech & Language Therapists, Educational Psychologists, Portage, Early Years practitioners, and specialist teachers. This creates rich opportunities for integrated work focused on inclusive practice and early intervention, going beyond traditional models of Occupational Therapy services.

As an Occupational Therapist in Hounslow, you will provide and co-ordinate specialist advice, consultation, and support to ensure children and young people are fully included and supported. You will develop and use innovative ways of working across universal, targeted, and specialist levels, including supporting delivery of the Department for Education's “Experts at Hand” initiative. The role involves working closely with schools and settings to develop early intervention approaches, contributing to assessment, consultation, and wider strategic work, delivering training, modelling and coaching to up-skill the wider workforce, and building strong partnerships with families, schools, and multi-agency colleagues. You will also support and supervise other team members with opportunities to develop your skills and lead on projects within the team.

Be part of a rapidly developing service contributing to early intervention and systemic work at scale, including participation in the rollout of the DfE “Experts at Hand” initiative with protected time for consultation, workforce development, and preventative work.

Experience
Post-qualification experience working with children and young people is preferred. Experience in multi-disciplinary and integrated working environments is highly valued.

Qualifications
- Qualified Occupational Therapist
- Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Member of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT)
