About the Role
Join the Caretaking Team at London and Quadrant Housing Trust (L&Q) as an experienced Caretaker within the Estate Services team at Acton Gardens, North West London. This role is key to our commitment to delivering a responsive, customer-focused service for our residents.

As a Caretaker, you will be responsible for maintaining communal areas within our blocks and estates, including communal cleaning and grounds maintenance. You will carry out small maintenance repairs as required, liaise directly with residents and contractors, and respond to queries while maintaining a strong focus on health, safety, and security.

Experience
Capable of carrying out a variety of small repair jobs and working effectively both independently and as part of a team. Trade skills, gardening or DIY experience would be an advantage.

A good communicator who is willing to learn new skills as the service adapts to changing neighbourhood needs. Self-motivated, proactive in daily activities, and aware of safe working practices. Possess good literacy and IT skills, including the ability to use a PC for online courses and assessments (training provided during probationary period). Enthusiastic, ambitious, and committed to delivering a first-class service to residents.

Qualifications
A recognised City & Guilds or Bics qualification in cleaning is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided. The successful candidate will need to apply for or hold a Basic Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) certificate to work within the team.
