Job Description
- Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and standards set by the head/sous chef, ensuring food safety standards are always met
- Oversee production of all dishes assigned to your station and maintain your area with supplies and cleanliness in line with policies
- Maintain high quality standards for all dishes, ensuring presentation and taste are consistently excellent
- Communicate effectively with team members and support colleagues as needed
- Collaborate with the head chef on menu development, tasting new recipes and suggesting improvements or innovations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and ensure equipment is in good working order
Experience
Proven experience working as a Commis Chef or in a similar role
Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
