As Chief Lawyer in the Contracts Team, you will actively lead the management of the department, ensuring its development, efficiency, and success through effective leadership, budget management, strategic direction, planning, and governance. You will provide high-level, proactive legal advice on contracts, governance, and procurement to the Council, its members, and officers, acting as a key point of contact for senior stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include allocating work appropriately, monitoring the quality of the team’s output, managing a team of around 11 staff members, and ensuring their training and development needs are met.

Experience
- Strong experience in all matters relating to contracts, governance, and procurement.

Qualifications
