This is an exciting opportunity for an apprentice, graduate, or job seeker from Hammersmith & Fulham who is passionate about community engagement, social value, and creating positive local impact. The successful candidate will help deliver employment, training, equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI), and community engagement initiatives connected to the development. The role involves working closely with local residents, community organisations, schools, and project stakeholders to ensure strong communication and meaningful community involvement throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a key point of contact between local residents and the project team
Build positive relationships with community groups, local organisations, and stakeholders
Support the organisation and delivery of community engagement activities including site visits, job fairs, skills workshops, community events, and volunteering initiatives
Assist with newsletters, website updates, and community communications
Support administrative tasks, reporting, and maintaining stakeholder databases
Gather feedback from residents, partners, and event attendees
Help track and report social value activities and community outcomes
Collect case studies, photographs, and project outputs for reporting purposes
Prepare materials for presentations, meetings, and engagement events
Experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good organisational and time management abilities
- Confidence engaging with people from diverse backgrounds
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Interest in community engagement, sustainability, and social impact
- Experience using Canva or WordPress is desirable but not essential
