About the Role
The Community Neighbourhood Senior Officer plays a critical role in supporting the delivery of community-based activities within a designated geographical area of Newham. This includes managing library and community centre activities, community engagement initiatives, democracy and civil participation programmes, resident budget participatory schemes, and joint public health programmes. You will also be responsible for implementing the social integration and volunteering action plan, maintaining positive working relationships with local voluntary, community and faith sector organisations, and supporting colleagues in community and youth safety services to achieve positive outcomes for Newham residents.
This role requires a proactive and adaptable individual who can thrive in a busy environment, prioritise workloads effectively, and respond to changing demands. Experience
Proven experience in community engagement and development, working effectively with community groups and local residents. Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver community projects and programmes.

Motivated, flexible, and able to thrive in a busy and dynamic environment. Excellent project planning and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively. Strong interpersonal skills to maintain positive relationships with diverse community stakeholders.
Qualifications
Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in community development or related fields are desirable but not essential. A commitment to continuous professional development and learning is important.
