About the Role
If you enjoy untangling difficult questions, finding the insight that changes the conversation and turning strategy into practical action, this role offers broad exposure and the opportunity to accelerate your development. You will join Shell’s internal Technology, Data & AI Strategy practice and work on technology, digital, data and AI questions from across the organisation. Depending on your experience, you may deliver a defined analytical module or own a substantial workstream. In every case, you will work with experienced consultants, senior stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams on problems with genuine enterprise relevance. You will also help shape how the team uses AI in its own work: we reimagine our own ways of working before we advise others on theirs, and fresh thinking from every level counts.

You will structure ambiguous business and technology questions using hypothesis-led problem solving. Gather and analyse business, technology, market, cost and value evidence to uncover actionable insight. Use AI tools every day to accelerate research, analysis, synthesis and drafting, check the quality of what they produce and share what works with the team. Develop strategic options, opportunity assessments, business cases and recommendations. Contribute to IT strategies, operating models, capability assessments, portfolio choices and digital, data and AI roadmaps. Plan and support interviews, working sessions and workshops that build alignment. Communicate findings through clear, concise and visually compelling stories and decision materials. Manage assigned activities, stakeholders, risks, issues and dependencies. Work across Shell’s Businesses, Functions and technology domains, building a broad enterprise perspective. Contribute ideas, knowledge, external insight and new AI-enabled ways of working to the consulting community.

Responsibilities will increase with experience, from contributing to analysis and workstreams to independently owning substantial workstreams, engaging stakeholders directly and supporting colleagues. Appointment level will reflect relevant experience, autonomy and demonstrated impact.

Why join us?
Varied, high-impact assignments across a broad range of enterprise challenges. Exposure to senior leaders and important enterprise decisions throughout your journey with the team. The chance to combine analytical depth with facilitation, influencing and strategy-to-execution experience. A supportive consulting community where you can learn from experienced colleagues and progressively take on broader accountability. Learn to use AI in strategy work from the start, in a team that aims to set the standard for AI-enabled consulting at Shell. Work that allows you to see how your analysis and recommendations influence real decisions and outcomes.

What we offer
You bring your skills and experience to Shell and in return you work with talented, committed people on one of the most important challenges facing our planet. You’ll have the opportunity to develop the skills you need to grow in an environment where we value honesty, integrity, and respect for one another. Continuously grow the transferable skills you need to get ahead. Work at the forefront of technology, trends, and practices. Collaborate with experienced colleagues with unique expertise. Achieve your balance in a values-led culture that encourages you to be the best version of yourself. Competitive pay and benefits packages. Take advantage of paid parental leave, including for non-birthing parents. Join an organisation working to become one of the most diverse and inclusive in the world. Grow as you progress through diverse career opportunities in national and international teams. Gain access to a wide range of training and development programmes.

Requirements

Experience
Relevant experience in technology, digital, data, AI or business strategy, gained in a consultancy, enterprise strategy team or comparable environment. About you
The ability to synthesise evidence, identify what matters and communicate a clear point of view. Good written, visual and verbal communication and the confidence to work directly with stakeholders and subject-matter experts. An interest in relevant disciplines such as IT strategy, operating models, capability assessment, digital transformation, data and AI, emerging technology, portfolio management or business case development. Sound delivery discipline, curiosity, high standards and a willingness to learn and contribute to the wider team.
