£16.13 per hour upon passing probation, rising to £16.83 plus holiday pay

As a Contact Supervisor, you will oversee and support contact sessions for children and families involved in proceedings. You will ensure sessions are safe, positive, and comply with legal and welfare guidelines. This role requires strong safeguarding knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism. You will work collaboratively with social workers, families, and legal professionals to promote the well-being of children.
Day to day responsibilities include observing and facilitating contacts, managing risk and intervening to safeguard children, supervising contacts within the centre, via video links or in the community, and writing accurate contact reports. You will work as part of a team committed to child protection and safeguarding.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children and families, particularly in child protection or family support services
- Strong understanding of child protection policies
- Experience working in a multi-disciplinary environment, collaborating with social workers, Guardians, and other agencies
- Experience as a Child Contact Supervisor is desirable
- Knowledge of child development and parenting

- Understanding of safeguarding practices, confidentiality, and professional boundaries
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- A non-judgmental, child-centred approach focused on positive outcomes for children and families
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 2 or above in a relevant qualification related to working with children and families
- Relevant qualifications in social work, child care, or related fields are desirable
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable groups
- Enhanced DBS clearance and annual Childcare Disqualification Disclosure required
