About the Role
At Moody's, we unite the brightest minds to turn today’s risks into tomorrow’s opportunities by fostering an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome to be themselves—with the freedom to exchange ideas, think innovatively, and listen to each other and customers in meaningful ways. Moody’s is transforming how the world sees risk. As a global leader in ratings and integrated risk assessment, we’re advancing AI to move from insight to action—enabling intelligence that not only understands complexity but responds to it. We decode risk to unlock opportunity, helping our clients navigate uncertainty with clarity, speed, and confidence.
As a Contract Specialist, you will manage the full contract lifecycle to support business growth, client satisfaction, and operational excellence across a dedicated sales portfolio. You will oversee the end-to-end contract process for new business and renewal opportunities, supporting a dedicated sales team through contract strategy, drafting, negotiation, and execution. You will participate in pipeline review meetings to advise on commercial approaches, identify contractual risks, set expectations, and help accelerate deal closure.
Your responsibilities will include analyzing customer information, licensing requirements, pricing structures, and contract terms to support cross-selling, renewals, and revenue growth initiatives. You will independently draft and negotiate Tier 1 sales agreements in accordance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices. Maintaining accurate customer and transaction information across CRM systems and other business platforms will be essential to ensure consistency throughout the sales cycle.
You will review executed contracts for completeness, validate compliance requirements, and ensure all supporting documentation is accurate for order processing and downstream activities. Collaboration with Finance, Legal, Billing, and other stakeholders will be key to supporting complex transactions, resolving issues, and implementing contract modifications when required. You will serve as a trusted point of contact for internal and external client inquiries, ensuring timely resolution and a high level of customer satisfaction.
Joining Moody’s Operations and Strategy team means playing a critical role in enabling commercial success by supporting contracting, operational, and strategic processes that drive revenue growth and client engagement. The team partners closely with Sales, Legal, Finance, Billing, and other business functions to deliver efficient, compliant, and scalable solutions that enhance the customer experience. You will contribute to a global organization focused on operational excellence, collaboration, innovation, and the responsible adoption of technology, including artificial intelligence, to improve workflows and business outcomes.
