About the Role
If you’re interested in making a difference to people’s lives, the Treasury offers an exciting opportunity to influence decision making that affects the whole of the UK. Working at the heart of government, you will collaborate across departments to promote responsible public spending and drive strong, sustainable economic growth. The Treasury’s work spans protecting customers through financial sector regulation, reducing carbon emissions to create a greener economy, promoting British trade globally, and supporting jobs and growth across the country.

As part of the Darlington Economic Campus, a cross-government hub, you will work closely with colleagues to tackle key national issues while remaining connected to the communities served.

In this role, you will produce high quality corporate reporting and analysis that provides senior leaders with accurate, timely and insightful information to support effective decision making and organisational oversight. You will design, maintain and improve reporting products and dashboards to present financial and performance information clearly and consistently, meeting the evolving needs of users across the organisation.

You will ensure the integrity and reliability of corporate data by proactively identifying data quality issues and implementing assurance, validation and improvement activities. Translating complex data into clear narratives and insights for non-specialist audiences will be key to enabling understanding of performance, risks and trends.

Working collaboratively with finance, people and other corporate teams, you will help improve management information development, sharing and use, supporting continuous improvement in corporate reporting. You will also support delivery of key organisational priorities by providing robust analytical input to major planning and reporting processes.

Building capability and resilience within the reporting function by sharing expertise and contributing to a strong analytical culture across the Corporate Centre will be an important part of your role.

- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in data, reporting processes or systems and supporting implementation.
- Supporting or mentoring others to build analytical capability and share expertise.
- Managing competing priorities and delivering accurate outputs to deadlines with high professional standards and attention to detail.

Experience of finance, people and/or corporate services function data and reporting is helpful but not essential.
