This role is part of one of the busiest and most high-profile communications teams in Whitehall, playing a direct role in delivering external media events for Ministers, including the Chancellor of the Exchequer. The post holder will receive an additional out-of-hours allowance and will travel within the UK.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning, coordinating, and leading high-quality media events and visits for Ministers to deliver policy and communication objectives.
- Leading visits/events on a rotating basis and supporting other team members.
- Collaborating with campaign and digital teams to identify announcements suitable for media and digital visits.
- Identifying, recceing, and advancing venues ahead of UK-based Ministerial visits and events.
- Traveling with Ministers to ensure they are well supported and briefed, managing logistics and media operations effectively while mitigating risks.
- Working closely with Ministers, Special Advisers, Private Office, and policy colleagues within Treasury and across government.
- Managing key stakeholders across industry to support future visit opportunities and maintaining organisational tools including forward look grids for team use.
Experience
- Proven experience organising events and VIP visits.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and establish effective relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- Strong time management and organisational skills to deliver work independently to tight deadlines while maintaining high quality and keeping stakeholders informed.

Qualifications
- No specific qualifications are mandated; however, relevant experience in event management, communications, or related fields is essential.
- Eligibility to undergo Security Check (SC) level vetting is required.
- Must have lived in the UK for at least 3 out of the last 5 years to meet national security vetting requirements.
