About the Role
Ready to take your career global? Make your mark at one of the biggest names in payments. We’re looking for an experienced Credit Risk Analyst to join our ever-evolving Credit Risk team and help us unleash the potential of every business. Working out of our London office, you will be primarily responsible for either the initial underwriting of new customers or the end-to-end credit risk management of existing merchants within an assigned portfolio.

As the Credit Risk Analyst II, you will actively manage the credit risk exposure generated by our EMEA customers from their card and alternative payment processing activity. For underwriting, this involves performing financial assessments of large corporates, proactively engaging with commercial teams to find solutions that maximise onboarding opportunities, making clear and concise recommendations, seeking approval from the appropriate sanctioning authority, and communicating conditions of sanction to both internal stakeholders and prospective customers.

For portfolio management, your responsibilities include analysing financial statements, compiling credit reviews, handling requests for new products or services that generate additional credit risk, seeking increased limits based on exception reports and alerts, and managing financial deterioration or distress scenarios to minimise risk of loss.

Additional duties include undertaking credit risk reviews of potential or existing clients, proactively engaging with commercial teams to maximise onboarding opportunities, responding to client-specific alerts and trigger events, maintaining limit and approval systems for your assigned portfolio, working closely with the Legal team to negotiate and review bespoke contracts, contributing to continuous improvement processes by identifying and implementing process changes, and undertaking ad-hoc tasks to support overall credit risk management objectives.

Requirements

Experience
A minimum of 3 years experience in a credit risk or financial analysis role.

About you
- Strong ability to articulate your recommended way forward and explain it to non-Credit Risk colleagues and clients.
- Ability to formulate solutions for new opportunities or challenging financial distress scenarios.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (good written English is essential).
- Strong computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office products, specifically Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to prioritise competing tasks, work autonomously, and meet sometimes tight deadlines.

Qualifications
No specific qualifications are stated; however, relevant experience and skills as outlined above are essential.
