About the Role
Join a great team in Enfield Council’s library service, which includes 17 libraries welcoming over a million visitors annually and issuing over a million items each year. The service is organised into four main libraries, each recently refurbished or rebuilt, alongside up to four smaller community libraries. These libraries offer up-to-date books, Wi-Fi, public computers, online resources, and events programmes designed to encourage reading.
As a Customer Services Officer, you will undertake a wide variety of tasks and responsibilities, working both independently and as part of a team. Your role will involve encouraging people to fully utilise library services and assisting customers in accessing resources, information, and Council services available to them. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career within a supportive and community-focused environment.
Experience
- Previous customer service or library experience is desirable.

- Ability to deliver excellent customer service with a genuine interest in helping people.
- Good IT skills and a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
- A ‘can do’ attitude with strong attention to detail.
- Clear communication skills with customers and team members.
- Organised, methodical, and able to follow instructions accurately.
- Empathetic and understanding.
