Following a reorganisation of the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) Team, The Safeguarding Governance Team, The Workforce Development Team and the Newham Safeguarding Adult Board Business Unit, the DoLS Team and Safeguarding Adult Board Business Unit have been updated and a new Strategic Safeguarding, Practice and Workforce Development Team has been created. The new teams sit within the Safeguarding, Quality Assurance and Workforce Development Service area with strong links to Adult Social Care Operations, Provider Quality Assurance and Commissioning Teams, as well as key partners and organisations across the borough and North East London. The Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards Practice Lead post is a new and exciting opportunity in the revised DoLS Team. The post will complete complex DoLS assessments as a Best Interests Assessor and will lead on the quality assurance and practice development of DoLS related activity and mental capacity practice. The post holder will be reporting to the DoLS Team Manager and play key role in supporting and leading a motivated, professional, effective service to meet Council’s statutory requirements.
