Location
Based across 4 residential services in Croydon (11 minute walk from East Croydon station). You will need to be able to travel between sites during the night shift to provide full managerial support. Access to own transport is ideal. Please note this service does not have step free access.

Hours
37.5 hours per week, supporting the night team who predominantly work Monday to Sunday 20:00 - 08:00. You will work within these hours, as well as daytime hours to attend trainings and meetings. You will also take part in our out of hours on call rota.

Salary
£30,200 per annum

About the Role
We are looking for a Deputy Service Manager to join our residential service based in Croydon. You will support the Service Manager by providing leadership and line management to a team of Night Recovery Workers and Night Concierge, totaling around 10 staff. You will ensure a quality service is delivered 24 hours a day, working closely with day teams to ensure smooth handovers.

You will provide general leadership to empower the team to be productive and perform well within their roles, supporting a service focused on Forensic Mental Health for 27 people across 4 sites in Croydon. The teams provide person-centred support to empower residents to overcome personal barriers related to mental health and achieve greater independence and fulfilled living.

Key responsibilities include:
- Line management including support, guidance, conducting supervisions, and ensuring duties are effectively carried out
- Supporting operational delivery of the service
- Risk management ownership, ensuring processes and policies are followed
- Property and housing management to ensure accommodation meets requirements and is safe to live in

Experience
- Working with people who have enduring mental health issues and complex backgrounds
- Motivating and empowering a team to achieve KPIs
- Providing advice, guidance, and support on all aspects of service delivery including resident-related queries

Qualifications
