Based within our Central Office in Islington, with home working possible and regular visits to services across London, Brighton, Luton, Bedford, Kent, and Liverpool. You may also be required to work at other locations as needed. Please note that our central office and some other services do not have step-free access.

Full Time - 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00

About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Business Development team at Social Interest Group (SIG) as a Business Development Officer, reporting to the Head of Business Development. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the growth, reach, and expansion of SIG’s services. Your responsibilities will include identifying new funding and tender opportunities, preparing submissions, managing documents, and supporting marketing efforts. Key duties include leading the development of processes and procedures for grant and tender approvals and submissions, supporting marketing communications including intranet, social media, and merchandise management, conducting research and analysis to identify fundraising and tender opportunities, completing competitor analysis to monitor trends, drafting responses for smaller tenders and fundraising bids, and preparing budget sheets for tenders and grants.

Requirements

Experience
Familiarity with tender processes and fundraising principles is essential. Proven ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment is required.

About you
You are proactive, detail-oriented, and organised with excellent written and oral communication skills. You have the ability to create engaging content with strong proofreading skills. You are creative, results-driven, and able to travel to attend market engagement events and visit services to gain a deeper understanding of SIG’s offerings. Qualifications
Specific qualifications are not detailed, but relevant experience and skills in business development, tendering, and fundraising are expected.
