About the Role
As Digital Experience Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the online journey for prospective applicants, students, and staff. Reporting to the Head of Digital User Experience and Special Projects, you will help optimise key platforms including the institutional website, student app, recruitment systems, and e-store. Your work will directly support the University’s strategic priorities and enhance digital innovation across services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Active involvement in the day-to-day functionality and governance of major digital platforms.
- Driving improvements in usability, accessibility, and compliance.
- Using analytics and user feedback to inform decisions and optimise experiences.
- Collaborating with IT, Marketing, Admissions, and external partners to deliver integrated solutions.
- Contributing to digital innovation projects that transform user journeys.

Experience
Strong foundation in user experience principles with practical knowledge of web standards and accessibility compliance. Proven experience working with content management systems, analytics tools, and SEO best practices. Ability to translate data into actionable insights that improve digital journeys.

Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder engagement skills. Comfortable collaborating across diverse teams including IT, Marketing, and Admissions. Motivated to drive digital innovation and enhance user experience in a higher education environment.
Qualifications
Relevant qualifications or demonstrable experience in digital user experience, web development, or related fields are desirable. Candidates must have the legal right to work in the UK as visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
