About the Role
The University of Roehampton Professional Services Limited is recruiting a University Lawyer to join its Legal Services team. Reporting to the Head of Legal Services, you will oversee the delivery of high-quality and efficient legal services across the University, acting as a strategic advisor to senior managers. The role is suited to a qualified solicitor or barrister with a commercial and contractual background or previous in-house experience, ideally within education or a related sector. You will engage with a broad range of legal matters including estates, employment law, intellectual property, data protection, governance, regulatory and compliance issues, company and charity law, disputes, and litigation. You will provide expert legal advice within your areas of expertise and coordinate external legal advice as needed. The role ideally requires 3 to 5 years post-qualification experience (PQE).

Experience
Qualified solicitor or barrister with 3 to 5 years PQE. Experience in commercial and contractual law, ideally with in-house or education sector exposure. Comfortable handling a wide range of legal issues including estates, employment, intellectual property, data protection, governance, regulatory compliance, company and charity law, disputes, and litigation.

Qualifications
