About the Role
Join the University of Roehampton’s Estates & Campus Services as an Estates Maintenance Technician within a customer-focused maintenance team. You will play a key role in supporting the University’s strategy by ensuring a safe, reliable, and comfortable campus environment for students and staff. The University spans 50 acres across 3 sites with over 80 buildings, including new builds and Grade 1 listed buildings from the 1800s, surrounded by extensive green spaces. This is an exciting time to join as the Estates team embarks on a masterplan to revive and enhance the estate.

Your key responsibilities will include providing a flexible and responsive maintenance service, delivering high-quality resolutions to issues raised via the ServiceDesk while meeting agreed SLAs. You will undertake multi-trade repairs across carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and basic HVAC, perform routine inspections and planned preventative maintenance to reduce failures and extend asset life. Additionally, you will monitor building systems such as lighting, heating, ventilation, and water, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and the safe use of tools, equipment, and PPE.

- Strong customer service, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload, work on own initiative, and use Microsoft Office tools effectively.

About you
Customer-focused and flexible with a proactive approach to maintenance. You are committed to delivering high standards of service and enjoy working as part of a team to maintain a safe and comfortable environment. You are adaptable and motivated to support the ongoing development of the University’s estate.
