About the Role
You will manage an international education project, ensuring the successful completion of deliverables by both sub-contractors and Roehampton University on time and within budget. The role involves close collaboration with the Project Sponsor, Sub-project team, and key stakeholders. You will provide support to and deputise for the Senior Project Manager when appropriate, as well as line manage and develop direct reports. You will actively participate in all project phases including scoping and design, resource identification and securing, ethics approval, issue resolution, risk management, and progress reporting. The University’s Project Governance Framework will underpin your project management approach. You will estimate timescales, resources, ethics, and budget requirements accurately to ensure successful project delivery. Maintaining realistic project plans, tracking activities, monitoring timescales, resources, and budgets, and taking appropriate action when necessary will be key responsibilities. Effective communication with all project stakeholders is essential. You will also ensure projects are formally closed, reviewed, and lessons learned are captured and actioned. Additional duties commensurate with the seniority of the post may be required. You will be part of the Planning and Strategic Projects Directorate and a member of the Strategic Projects team, working with a wide range of colleagues across the University.
Experience
- Proven experience managing complex projects, preferably in an international education or research context.
- Experience working with multiple stakeholders and subcontractors.
- Experience in line management and team development.
- Familiarity with project governance frameworks and risk management.

Qualifications
