About the Role
As Director of Economy, Regeneration and Investment, you will provide strategic leadership across Camden’s planning, regeneration, inclusive economy, arts and culture, and investment portfolios, shaping the borough’s long-term economic and spatial future. You will work through a strong and experienced senior leadership team to set a clear vision for place-based regeneration that delivers growth, fairness, and long-term value for Camden’s communities.

You will drive the Inclusive Growth Strategy, creating pathways into good work, supporting local enterprise, and ensuring communities benefit directly from investment and development. You will oversee one of the council’s largest planning functions, lead major regeneration and infrastructure programmes, and act as a senior ambassador for the London Borough of Camden, building effective partnerships and securing investment in a challenging fiscal environment.

Experience
Proven experience as a credible, values-driven senior leader managing complex portfolios in a major urban context. Strong understanding of regeneration, planning, economic development, or investment. Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and partners with political astuteness and navigate competing priorities while maintaining focus on long-term outcomes.
