This pivotal role leads the strategic direction and day-to-day operation of NHS London Procurement Partnership (NHS LPP), driving the delivery of a best-in-class procurement function. The Director of Procurement and Partnering will implement NHS LPP’s vision and strategy to become a world-class procurement partner of choice for the NHS and wider public sector. This fast-paced and influential role requires expert procurement, commercial, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills, with responsibility for standardising best practice procurement processes across multiple teams and maintaining continuous improvement.
The postholder will manage collaborative procurement projects across NHS trusts and other public sector bodies, ensuring compliance with procurement legislation and governance, delivering savings targets, and fostering trusted advisor relationships with stakeholders at all levels. They will be a key member of the NHS LPP Senior Leadership Team, shaping the organisation’s strategic direction and culture.
Experience
- Senior public sector procurement leadership and delivery experience with expert procurement and contract management skills
- Proven experience managing the end-to-end procurement lifecycle (plan, define, procure, manage)
- In-depth knowledge of public sector procurement legislation and regulations
- Experience of public sector procurement leadership at a senior management level
- Desirable: Experience working in a Trust procurement team and for an accredited NHSE framework host

Qualifications
- Essential: Professional procurement qualification (Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply) or equivalent extensive procurement experience
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent professional experience
- Postgraduate degree or equivalent professional experience desirable
- Desirable: Relevant project management experience and/or qualification such as Prince 2
