About the Role
Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK’s busiest and most successful NHS trusts, providing a full range of hospital and community services across south London and specialist care for patients nationally and internationally. Evelina London Children’s Hospital, part of the Trust, delivers specialist paediatric services including cardiac, renal and critical care across south east England. The Trust is renowned for clinical excellence, research, and teaching, and is part of King’s Health Partners academic health sciences centre.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Head of International and Private Patients to lead Evelina London’s private paediatric and international services, a key strategic priority supporting innovation and reinvestment into NHS care. These services have grown rapidly over the last five years and have ambitious plans for further expansion, including integration of Royal Brompton paediatrics, transfer of children’s cancer services from The Royal Marsden, and development of the Evelina Children’s Hospital programme.
The postholder will provide senior operational leadership, working closely with clinical, operational and commercial colleagues to enhance the quality, access and experience of private and international care. They will lead operational and administrative teams, drive service improvement, transformation and business development programmes, and ensure services operate efficiently alongside NHS pathways while maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
Key locations for private and international services include Evelina London Children’s Hospital, the Westminster Private Maternity Suite at St Thomas’ Hospital, the Assisted Conception Unit at Guy’s Hospital, and private outpatient and diagnostic facilities across the Trust including Royal Brompton Hospital and the Harley Street medical district.
