The Evelina London Children’s Hospital, part of the Trust, is a leading paediatric centre offering secondary and tertiary services, including specialist private and international patient care.

We are seeking a Private Patient Pathway Co-ordinator to join our International and Private Patients Service at Evelina London Children’s Hospital. This role offers the opportunity to work within a fast-paced commercial service that generates income for reinvestment in NHS services.

The post holder will provide comprehensive, efficient, and quality operational leadership to patient pathways, ensuring all treatment elements are coordinated professionally and succinctly in line with private healthcare expectations. The role also includes leading specific initiatives to develop and transform services in line with strategic growth plans for Private Patient Services at Evelina.

Please note this is a 9-month fixed term/secondment position.

Main Duties
- Coordinate all aspects of patient pathways for International and Private Patients at Evelina
- Build relationships with clinical and non-clinical staff to develop pathways, processes, and capacity supporting growth in private patient activity
- Improve and coordinate customer care for International and Private Patients
- Ensure accurate clinical recording and billing information for patient treatments
- Confirm financial arrangements such as guarantees, deposits, and approvals are in place to secure invoice payments
- Support operational and strategic decision making through administration and analysis of activity information

About Evelina London Children’s Hospital
Opened in 2005, Evelina London Children’s Hospital is the second largest provider of children’s services in London, delivering a broad range of secondary and tertiary paediatric specialties. It is uniquely co-located with maternity, A&E, and adult services, supporting seamless transition and comprehensive care. The Private Team provides complex and advanced services for women and children within the NHS and for international and private patients, supporting both service growth and NHS development.

Experience
- Experience working in a customer-focused environment, demonstrating the ability to handle difficult customers and challenging situations with excellent customer service, data collection, and confidentiality
- Previous experience scheduling outpatient appointments, ward admissions, and diagnostics
- Experience in the Private Patient sector is desirable

- Excellent communication skills with detailed evidence
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise workload effectively, working methodically and accurately to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and develop good working relationships with colleagues at all levels

Qualifications
- Good general education with English and Maths to GCSE standard or equivalent
- IT experience desirable, including Microsoft Office, EPIC, Teams, Compucare
