About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Domestic Abuse Housing Officer to join our team and support survivors in securing safe, sustainable housing solutions. This is a rewarding opportunity for a knowledgeable housing professional with a strong understanding of statutory homelessness duties and domestic abuse legislation. You will provide specialist housing advice and support to individuals experiencing domestic abuse, assess homelessness applications in line with the Housing Act 1996 (as amended by the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017), and apply duties relating to prevention and relief of homelessness. The role requires a clear understanding of Part 4 of the Domestic Abuse Act 2021 and involves working collaboratively with internal teams, refuges, and partner agencies. You will also maintain accurate records to ensure compliance with statutory requirements. Experience
Proven experience in housing advice and support, particularly relating to domestic abuse and homelessness legislation. Strong knowledge of statutory homelessness duties and the Domestic Abuse Act 2021.

Qualifications
Relevant housing or social care qualifications are desirable but not essential. A strong understanding of housing law and domestic abuse legislation is required.
