About the Role
As a Duty Operations Assistant, you will provide vital business and administrative support while helping to deliver community events, projects, and activities. Your role involves regular visits to up to 11 allocated sites within your patch to conduct health and safety checks, attend committee meetings and events, and engage with partners and prospective hirers. This is a mobile role requiring travel across multiple sites at various times.

You will play a key role in ensuring community spaces are vibrant, safe, and accessible, supporting a wide range of resident activities. You will be a friendly and reliable presence, supporting management committees running these community buildings by providing administrative assistance and training. Duties include managing bookings, processing invoices and purchase requests, conducting bi-weekly facilities checks, raising repair requests, and collaborating with internal and external partners to activate community spaces.

Your responsibilities also include providing excellent customer service by responding promptly and efficiently to calls and emails, assisting with data collation and analysis for quarterly reports and case studies, and continuously seeking ways to improve administrative processes. You will be proactive, highly organized, motivated, and passionate about addressing social inequality and working with communities.

Requirements

Experience
- Demonstrable experience in a similar administrative or facilities role.
- Proven ability to manage data accurately and efficiently.
- Experience with IT systems including Microsoft Office.
- Strong customer service and health & safety experience in the workplace.
- Comfortable communicating with diverse audiences in a busy, people-focused environment.

Qualifications
- Basic DBS check required.
- Understanding of confidentiality and data protection principles.
