About the Role
Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK’s busiest and most successful NHS trusts, providing a wide range of hospital and community services across south London and specialist care for patients from further afield. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Centralised Administration and Data Quality Team as an Elective Access Manager - Data Quality on a 12-month fixed-term contract or secondment basis.

This senior role requires significant experience in pathway management, RTT, and data quality within a complex NHS environment. You will lead the day-to-day operational management of the Data Quality function, ensuring patient pathway data is accurate, timely, and compliant with national and local policies. Acting as a Trust-wide subject matter expert, you will provide expert advice on complex RTT rules and pathway scenarios, lead investigations into data quality issues, and embed sustainable improvements to support elective performance, assurance, and patient safety.

You will manage a centralised team and contribute to Trust-wide assurance and transformation activities, supporting delivery of national access standards and enhancing patient experience. The role involves close collaboration with clinical groups, operational leaders, BI, Epic, and IT colleagues. Both assessment and interview will be conducted in person at the Education Centre, with the assessment requiring access to Epic.

Experience
- Significant experience and in-depth knowledge of patient pathway management, including national RTT waiting time rules.
- Demonstrable experience in data quality analysis and development of resolution plans.
- Evidence of managing successful projects and/or operational performance and improvement, including business case preparation, service initiation, contract negotiation, and monitoring of output and outcome measures.
- Operational experience managing complex services and leading change within a multi-stakeholder environment.

- Proven track record in consistently delivering performance targets and writing complex business cases, policies, and change.
- Advanced analytical and judgement skills, including understanding and application of complex statistical and numerical data.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, and delegate effectively.
- Strong understanding and track record of successful change and project management.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and stakeholders to embed sustainable improvements.

Qualifications
- Relevant Master’s degree, equivalent professional qualification, or equivalent experience with evidence of recent Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
- Knowledge and understanding of the changing NHS environment, strategy, and policy agendas is desirable.
