Up to £43,000 per annum, plus company van, fuel card, and out-of-hours rota (1 in 4 weeks)
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and qualified Electrician to join our team in Tower Hamlets. This practical, field-based role involves working primarily within tenanted properties, responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of electrical systems. You will ensure homes are safe, compliant, and fit for occupation by delivering reactive repairs, planned maintenance, and supporting wider refurbishment programmes. With a strong pipeline of work and an expanding presence in the area, this role offers an excellent opportunity to join a team making a positive impact within the local community.
Key duties include repairing and replacing faulty electrical accessories such as socket outlets, light fittings, switches, and extractor fans; inspecting, testing, and certifying electrical installations to ensure compliance with current regulations and safety standards; diagnosing and rectifying faults in consumer units; carrying out first fix electrical works including full and partial rewires; installing additional socket outlets, cabling, and associated accessories; working independently or as part of a team to meet daily repair and completion targets; communicating clearly and professionally with tenants and residents; ensuring work areas are left clean, safe, and tidy; complying fully with health and safety policies, procedures, and risk assessments; delivering a high standard of customer care; and using relevant IT and job management systems to manage and prioritise workloads efficiently within agreed timescales.
Experience
Previous domestic and social housing electrical experience is required.

Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations including AM2
- City & Guilds 18th Edition (candidates with 17th Edition can work towards 18th Edition)
- Inspection and Testing qualification 2391 or equivalent (2394/2395)
- Full UK driving licence with a clean driving record (to drive a company vehicle, you must be over 21, have held your licence for over 3 months, and have less than 9 penalty points)
