We are seeking a pro-active and highly organised Executive Assistant to provide comprehensive support to the Chief Executive of the Clinical Group. This busy and varied role involves complex diary management, preparation of presentations and briefing papers, meeting coordination and support, and ensuring effective communication internally and externally. You will play a key role in enabling the Chief Executive to optimise their time and deliver on strategic priorities.
The Clinical Group operates across multiple sites including Harefield Hospital, Royal Brompton Hospital, St Thomas’ Hospital and Guy’s Hospital, employing 4,700 staff with an annual turnover exceeding £700 million. The group is underpinned by world-class research and partnerships, aiming to deliver outstanding heart, lung and critical care services.
Experience
- Extensive experience as a PA or Secretary at senior manager, executive or board level
- Experience working in a large organisation
- Proven ability to work under pressure, manage conflicting priorities and meet strict deadlines
About you
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing demands and high workloads
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to prepare sensitive correspondence and reports
- Ability to prioritise and screen calls on behalf of senior management
- Professional, discreet and able to handle confidential and sensitive information
- Ability to liaise effectively with staff at all levels and work collaboratively as part of a team
Qualifications
- Degree level education or equivalent experience, knowledge and skills
- Management, Secretarial or equivalent relevant training/experience
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Advanced keyboard skills with typing speed of at least 50 words per minute
- Audio typing skills at 50 words per minute
