About the Role
As an Executive Head Chef at BaxterStorey, you will manage the smooth and efficient operation of a kitchen operating across multiple outlets, ensuring the company’s reputation for food quality is maintained at all times. You will organise the planning, preparation, cooking, and presentation of food to the standards required by both the company and the client. Your responsibilities include ensuring supplies are correctly issued, used, and accounted for, carrying out stock takes and food rotation procedures. You will set objectives and be responsible for the day-to-day running of the kitchens, including supervising the recruitment and selection process. Assessing employee performance and recognising training needs and potential will be key to your role. You will continuously update your industry knowledge on current food trends and ingredients. Controlling and achieving agreed financial targets while maximising commercial opportunities and communicating these with your team is essential. You will also ensure that the location meets statutory and company requirements of Health and Safety, Food Safety, and environmental legislation and procedures.

Requirements

Experience
Proven experience within a demanding kitchen environment at the relevant level.
Ability to negotiate and build relationships with suppliers.

Qualifications
Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate or above.
Strong knowledge of food provenance and quality.
