About the Role
Working with us here at Balfour Beatty, your role as Financial Analyst will support the Financial Reporting Manager in the timely preparation, analysis and reporting of concession financials to the BB Group. You will assist in the preparation of quarterly forecasts and annual budgets with variance analysis and commentary for review, complete half-year and full-year reporting in line with strict BB Group deadlines, and operate the monthly swap valuation toolkit (such as FIS or similar).

You will prepare regular and ad hoc financial reports and analysis, coordinate and prepare appropriate backup schedules to support external auditors for financial audits, update financial models and apply accounting overlays, and support preparation of statutory accounts for investment holding legal entities, including applying technical accounting judgements and working closely with external auditors and BBI directors to obtain approvals by Group deadlines.

Additional duties include reviewing and submitting compliance statements for investment holding entities using the Balfour Beatty Company Secretarial database (Blueprint), contributing to structured risk reporting by collaborating with operational teams and senior leadership to ensure timely updates, supporting internal control processes and SBU-level risk communications, and contributing to the organisation of graduate tasks including planning, providing regular feedback on performance, and maintaining good engagement.
