About the Role
Are you an experienced, motivated, high-performing clinician seeking a new way to use your clinical skills while achieving a better work-life balance? As a Functional Assessor with Ingeus, you will carry out functional assessments with claimants face to face, via video and telephone, to evaluate their ability to undertake activities of daily living. You will ask focused questions, use active listening and critical reasoning skills to gather accurate information, and produce high-quality, structured clinical reports for submission to the DWP. You will review and evaluate evidence, request additional information when necessary, and clinically triage cases to determine the correct assessment pathway. Working alongside other experienced clinical colleagues, you will contribute to ensuring fair and high-quality assessments for all claimants. Benefits include 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (with option to buy more), paid CPD, reimbursed registration fees, a structured training programme to achieve formal DWP accreditation, clear career progression routes within Ingeus and the wider APM Group, a supportive clinically led culture, and up to £2,000 refer a friend reward scheme.
