About the Role
At Via, our mission is to provide the best health and wellbeing support to as many people as possible, helping them to change their lives for the better. Last year, we supported over 11,000 people across the UK affected by alcohol and drug use. Everything we do is driven by our values: Care – care for people is at the heart of everything we do; Be human – we are accessible, genuine and humble, always learning; Do the right thing – we’re open, honest and inclusive, and we get things done.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced and growing organisation as a Harm Reduction Senior Practitioner for our Via Harrow service. In this role, you will provide visible, effective harm reduction leadership, interventions, and promotion within the service. You will build strong relationships with key stakeholders including GPs, sexual health services, housing, mental health, and others to support increased access to harm reduction interventions for Harrow residents.
We are looking for an experienced practitioner with a passion for harm reduction who is eager to develop and advance the delivery of care in this senior practitioner role. This is not just a job – you’ll help people rebuild their lives, reconnect with family and friends, return to work or education, and much more. If you are compassionate, have good communication skills, and can stay calm under pressure, this role is for you.
Experience
Proven experience as a practitioner in harm reduction or related health and wellbeing services is essential. Experience working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and delivering effective harm reduction interventions is highly desirable.
About you
You are compassionate, a good listener, and able to stay curious. You have excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure. You are motivated to make a positive difference in people’s lives and are committed to the values of care, humility, and integrity.
Qualifications
Relevant qualifications in health, social care, or related fields are preferred but not explicitly stated. A commitment to ongoing professional development and learning is expected.
