About the Role
Havering Works is an internal, grant-funded team providing employment support to residents facing barriers to securing and sustaining work. This fixed-term role is initially for 2 years with a possible extension to 3 years, delivering the Connect to Work (CtW) programme in line with externally assessed quality standards - Individual Placement Support (IPS) and the Supported Employment Quality Framework (SEQF). The main purpose is to provide specialist client-facing information, advice and guidance (IAG), employment and training support to unemployed or economically disadvantaged residents of Havering. The role involves completing all required grant funders' paperwork and maintaining quality standards according to IPS and SEQF models, including providing evidence of activity and outcomes.

Requirements

Experience
- Supporting long-term unemployed residents into sustainable employment, particularly individuals with multiple and complex barriers
- Working in a target-driven employment and skills brokerage or business development environment
- Helping individuals improve employment and job search skills
- Engaging clients from diverse communities successfully
- Experience in recruitment or Welfare to Work sector with a solid understanding of the local labour market
- Employer engagement and recruitment from initial contact through vacancy securing, job matching, placement, and providing in-work support to sustain employment

About you
- Commitment to person-centred practice and upholding IPS principles
- Ability to embed IPS standards while adapting to Connect to Work and borough context
- Skilled at building relationships with clinical teams, Jobcentre Plus, and other partners
- Resilient and adaptable, able to manage competing priorities and support staff through challenges
- Experience working within complex systems such as health, employment, and social care

Qualifications
Training on fidelity for IPS and SEQF will be provided. No specific qualifications are stated as mandatory.
