Your key responsibilities will include advising the Chancellor, Special Advisers, and the Treasury’s Executive Management Board on the UK’s monetary policy framework and developments. You will explore policy options for the Monetary Policy Committee remit, including unconventional monetary policy tools such as Quantitative Easing and Tightening, and their implications for government economic and fiscal objectives.

Leading analysis on the economic and operational implications of monetary policy decisions and potential future tools will be a core part of your role. Additionally, you will support the appointment process for external MPC members and maintain engagement with Bank of England staff.
This role includes line management responsibilities for one Higher Executive Officer and one Senior Executive Officer, providing leadership, support, and development opportunities.
