About the Role
At The Stonebridge School we offer an integrated, exciting and relevant curriculum enriched with a variety of experiences. We have high expectations and put children at the heart of everything we do and every decision we make. Through careful analysis, evaluation and review, we ensure all children make significant progress, are safe, and reach their full potential. We value the contribution of all stakeholders, believing that collaboration and consistency are key. Our commitment to training and development for the whole school community ensures that the service we offer will always advance. Through a balance of academic and value-led education, reflecting our motto "learning for life," we ensure our pupils become rounded and confident individuals equipped for their next educational journey and their place in the world.

We are seeking a talented leader, either an experienced headteacher or a high-performing deputy with a strong track record, who can provide strategic leadership by promoting a vision and direction that ensures high-quality education for all pupils. The successful candidate will provide a secure foundation to build upon the school’s strengths, motivating and inspiring the school community to achieve new successes.

Key responsibilities include managing and organising the school to fulfil its vision and meet targets, aligning financial and other resources sustainably, formulating policies to implement and develop the school’s aims, and overseeing the school’s improvement plan in partnership with the Governing Board and staff. The role also involves identifying, engaging, and developing relationships with key external stakeholders and acting as a primary ambassador for the school, protecting and raising its reputation and profile locally and beyond.

The Headteacher will put pupils and their learning at the heart of every decision, ensuring all pupils achieve their highest standards of attainment and that the school contributes fully to each pupil's intellectual, physical, social, cultural, and moral development. Commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of all pupils in a nurturing and inclusive environment is essential, ensuring equality of opportunity for all pupils and staff.
