About the Role
Be part of our management team driving improvements. We have an exciting opportunity for a manager to lead the changes in how we collect our income. This role has been created to get our collection back on track and fundamentally evaluate how to embed best practice within the service we deliver. Income collection became part of a wider generic function for the Area Tenancy Managers, leading to inconsistencies in delivery that need resolving.
As the Income Maximisation Manager, you will have overall responsibility for setting the strategy and direction for rental income collection and the tenancy support framework for our social housing tenants. You will work with the wider area tenancy team and a small group of specialist officers.
You will embed processes and an income recovery ethos within the wider Neighbourhood team while managing a team handling more complex cases, including those involving disrepair or capacity issues. You will also oversee functions related to former tenants and administrative support.
As the lead for income, you will forge collaborative, constructive, and respectful partnerships with key supporting services such as our legal team and health and social services. You will ensure vulnerable residents are supported effectively to maintain their tenancy when needed.
You will develop best practice across the department that complies with the legal framework and ensures an effective but caring approach to recovery.
