About the Role
Join Ferrovial, a global leader in infrastructure, and contribute to the delivery of the HS2 Track Infrastructure Project during its design and construction phases. As a High Speed Rail – Cable Management Design Engineer, you will coordinate the Cable Management System (CMS) design and delivery across the HS2 route, supporting ballastless track design solutions. Reporting to the Track Design Lead, you will collaborate with design partners, construction teams, supply chain partners, client representatives, and Rail Systems Alliance members to ensure seamless integration of rail systems and track infrastructure.

Your responsibilities will include leading the day-to-day coordination of CMS design, managing interfaces with permanent and temporary works, rail systems, civil engineering disciplines, and construction activities. You will review drawings, specifications, technical submissions, and design deliverables, ensuring compliance with client standards, industry regulations, and CDM requirements. Additionally, you will support technical assurance activities, identify and manage risks and design changes, and assist with design optimisation, value engineering, and innovation initiatives.

In ballastless track design, you will support management and coordination of standard slab track systems, switches, crossings, and REDs, assist in managing design interfaces, participate in technical reviews and meetings, and help resolve track design issues. You will also manage track-related technical queries, departures, NCRs, compensation events, and other commercial or contractual matters.

Ferrovial offers a collaborative and inclusive culture, career growth opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits package. Utilize cutting-edge productivity tools and be part of a company shaping the future of infrastructure worldwide. This role provides significant exposure to one of Europe's largest infrastructure projects and a clear pathway towards technical leadership and engineering management.
