About the Role
The Housekeeper ensures the overall cleanliness and proper appearance of the community, including external litter, all internal communal spaces, reception and office areas, and other amenities to enhance and maintain the community appeal and provide a positive resident experience. You will work as part of a friendly and supportive team playing a vital role within the Community team to ensure all residents enjoy a high level of cleanliness throughout their community. Responsibilities include cleaning reception, offices, common spaces, and restrooms; daily litter picking of all external areas; freshening empty rooms, apartments, and show flats to maintain market-ready appeal; conducting weekly flush downs in empty rooms and apartments in line with health and safety policies; assisting in the make-ready process as requested by the Community Manager or supervisor; reporting hazards or maintenance issues; and maintaining an appropriate inventory of cleaning supplies while championing cost efficiencies without compromising quality. You will also respond positively to customer queries, resolving them in a timely manner or directing residents to the appropriate person.
Experience
Previous experience maintaining cleanliness within a customer-occupied environment is required. Demonstrated ability to solve problems in practical situations and follow standardized procedures is essential.
About you
Ability to read and write English to a level that enables full understanding and compliance with product safety labels, COSHH policy, and procedure manuals. Knowledge and understanding of UK health and safety requirements. Skilled in the safe use and maintenance of cleaning fluids and tools. Ability to work autonomously using initiative when required. Strong attention to detail. Flexible and adaptable approach to thrive in a changing environment. Proficient customer service and interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact with residents, clients, team members, and other business contacts, responding courteously to questions and requests.
Qualifications
