About the Role
The Procurement Manager will take a proactive role in benefits identification – utilizing business and market knowledge to build a pipeline of procurement activity that delivers commercial and service benefits to operational teams across the UK&I portfolio. This role supports the effective operation of existing properties and procurement activity for new developments, acquisitions, and disposals. Acting as a business partner to onsite teams, the Procurement Manager will own and deliver agreed strategic sourcing initiatives and provide guidance and support for tactical sourcing and contracting activities. Key responsibilities include building and maintaining a list of Preferred Suppliers for the UK and Ireland, supporting corporate sourcing activities for indirect spend categories, and collaborating closely with the European Category Director to align local sourcing with European strategies. The role also involves working with other UK&I Procurement Managers to ensure alignment and leverage spend effectively across portfolios.

The Procurement Manager will engage local stakeholders to demonstrate procurement value, ensure compliance with procurement policies, manage end-to-end procurement processes including supplier identification, tender documentation, and commercial negotiations. They will administer contract lifecycles via Greystar’s CLM platform, support supplier onboarding and due diligence, manage supplier performance and reporting, and contribute to procurement policy development and communications. The role requires effective collaboration with the European procurement team and leadership or contribution to regional sourcing initiatives such as supply chain ESG.
