Housing Advisor
Location
Based at Mendip House, Edmonton, North London. This role requires considerable independent travel within and across regions.
Hours
Full Time - 37.5 hours per week, 12 Month Fixed Term Contract. Some unsociable hours required to attend evening meetings with customers.
Salary
£39,841 - £41,938 per annum (Dependent upon experience)
About the Role
As a Housing Advisor, known internally as a Customer Transitions Advisor, you will be part of the Special Projects team responsible for supporting customers at Pennine and Mendip House with their permanent moves. You will ensure customers are well informed and supported throughout the moving process, providing a smooth transition while considering their individual needs. Empathy and compassion are essential to delivering a quality service and successfully managing this project.
The role involves leading communications with customers, acting as the key contact between customers and internal teams, producing regular updates, managing customer enquiries and complaints, and liaising with contractors and departments to maintain clear communication. You will also assist with tenancy sign-ups, conduct property viewings, manage operational budgets, and ensure procurement and payments comply with corporate policies.
This position is fully on-site with no hybrid working option. Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own transport as these are essential requirements for the role.
Experience
- Proven experience in housing management and customer service
- Knowledge of tenancy and decant processes
- Understanding of income processes, benefits systems, and arrears management
- Experience in project management and working collaboratively within teams
- Strong ICT skills including Excel and Word
- Ability to prioritise effectively and maintain attention to detail in a busy environment
- Experience managing operational budgets and procurement processes
- Considerable independent travel is required

Qualifications
- Full UK driving licence and access to own transport (essential)
