About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a progressive housing service with a clear mandate to improve the quality of services for tenants and leaseholders. You will join a refreshed leadership team committed to being a good landlord for our residents. The role requires deep experience in delivering what truly matters to tenants, demonstrated through a strong track record of tenancy management leadership. A comprehensive understanding of housing law including council housing management and Regulatory Requirements is essential to your success.

About the Team You’ll Be Working In
You will provide leadership across the Housing Tenancy Management service, with direct managerial responsibility for 3 Assistant Service Managers and indirect responsibility for approximately 22 staff. Your leadership will play a crucial role in leading diverse housing teams, contributing to the Council’s Housing and Tenancy Service through effective coordination, performance management, and service delivery.

Experience
- Significant senior leadership experience in tenancy management or closely related housing services.
- Extensive knowledge of current issues, legislation and national policies related to housing management.
- A record of consistent achievement at senior management level within an organisation of comparable scope and complexity.
- Experience of leading teams to deliver high performing, value for money services through effective planning and performance management.
- Experience of initiating and overseeing major projects, policy development and service transformation.
- Proven ability to bring stakeholders together around shared goals and maintain an organisational focus on community needs.
