About the Role
Deliver, assess and monitor relevant high quality learning activities to enable learners to achieve their proposed learning outcomes and ambitions for further study or employment. Ensure that standards in teaching, learning and assessment continue to improve towards outstanding across the service, meeting funders and Ofsted minimum levels of performance and contributing to national and locally agreed targets.

About the Team You’ll Be Working In
Hounslow Adult and Community Education (Learn Hounslow) delivers the council’s Adult Education Budget allocation, funding a range of learning opportunities to help adults develop knowledge, skills and confidence to re-skill, up-skill, move into work, improve prospects and support their families. Teaching and learning take place both in centres and online in live timetabled sessions. We are expanding our part-time sessional tutor panel and invite suitably qualified and experienced tutors with a passion for their specialist subject and the ability to engage adults positively to deliver and assess learning. For vocational courses at Level 2 and above, this may include assessing competence in the workplace depending on team needs.

Experience
Relevant experience in teaching, learning and assessment.

About You
Ability to communicate clearly and appropriately with a range of people including learners, senior managers, tutors and partners. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Passionate about your specialist subject and able to engage adults positively. Excellent knowledge and skills with educational digital technology.

Qualifications
Subject specialism and teaching qualifications of at least Level 3 for all subjects. Teaching Qualification Level 5 is essential for ESOL, English and Maths. Qualifications in English and maths skills at Level 2 or equivalent.
