About the Role
To work with children and families to address multiple and complex needs, improving family functioning and resilience, reducing the need for statutory interventions. To develop, deliver and evaluate creative, robust and outcomes-led packages of intervention and support for children, young people and their families, based on whole family assessment. To provide an integrated response to meeting the needs of parents, children and young people through collaborative working with colleagues, partner agencies, young people and their families/carers. To contribute to the success of Hounslow’s Families First Programme by working competently with families who meet the national Troubled Families criteria.

About the Team You’ll Be Working In
Our Family Help Team provides targeted and statutory support to families with children and young people aged 0–18 (up to 25 with additional needs). We work with families facing a range of challenges, including parenting, wellbeing and school-related issues, using Child in Need (CIN) and Team Around the Family (TAF) plans. The team brings together Social Workers and Family Support Practitioners to deliver coordinated support that helps improve outcomes and prevent problems from escalating.
