Hybrid working based at UK Health Security Agency core HQ in Canary Wharf, London, with occasional attendance at the Scientific Campus in Colindale. Flexible working opportunities available with a hybrid working model requiring a minimum of 60% of contractual hours (approximately 3 days per week) in the office.

About the Role
The Information Officer/Admin role at UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) involves supporting data management, handling, analysis, and reporting within a dynamic public health environment. You will work closely with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including analysts, epidemiological scientists, parliamentary teams, NHS Trusts, local authorities, and other health and academic professionals. The role requires effective communication, prioritisation, and coordination of workload to support public health surveillance and information governance. You will participate in mandatory training and professional development activities, and occasionally travel to meetings and training across UKHSA sites. This position operates under a hybrid working model with a focus on collaboration and delivering quality service in a fast-paced environment. Successful candidates must pass a Counter-Terrorist Check security clearance.

The role requires adherence to information governance standards including data protection and confidentiality. You will be expected to demonstrate sound numeracy skills, an understanding of epidemiological methods, and the ability to produce accurate and consistent work. Experience
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in Biomedical Science, Epidemiology, Public Health, or related discipline.
- Experience in data management, handling, analysis, and reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Access, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Understanding of information governance, data protection, and confidentiality.
- Ability to communicate proactively, accurately, and tactfully with a wide range of health, IT, and academic professionals.
- Ability to prioritise and coordinate workload effectively.
- Experience working independently and as part of a team.
- Calm and efficient problem-solving skills.
- Sound numeracy skills and good understanding of data presentation.
- Basic understanding of epidemiological terms and methods.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to meetings and training across UKHSA sites.

Qualifications
