About the Role
The Finance Engineer Summer Internship Programme at London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) is designed to give you insight into a career as a Financial Engineer. You will work on real projects alongside experienced engineers within the Optimisation Strats Team, part of the Post Trade Engineering division. This team is responsible for designing, building, implementing, and maintaining algorithms central to our services, focusing on models for linear or convex optimisation problems that translate into financial transactions to improve derivatives portfolios.

As an intern, you will join a small team of 4-6 financial engineers to design and implement enhancements to optimisation services. You will collaborate directly with the Product Development team to improve products based on client feedback and strategic analysis. Possible projects include developing new scaling schemes, introducing mixed integer models, sensitivity analysis of constraints, code refactoring to share functionality, improving runtime performance through heuristics, and enhancing client data validation.

This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial engineering within a leading global financial markets infrastructure and data provider, contributing to impactful projects in a collaborative environment.
