About the Role
At Thames Water, we deliver life's essential service so our customers, communities and the environment can thrive. We provide 2.6 billion litres of fresh drinking water daily and manage 4.6 billion litres of wastewater through an extensive network, supported by over 9,000 dedicated employees working 24/7, 365 days a year. We are currently undergoing the biggest upgrade in 150 years and need an experienced internal communications professional to cover a maternity leave period.
This role focuses on delivering our main internal communications channels including our weekly Poppulo-based newsletter and Intranet homepage, alongside supporting other channels as needed. You will collaborate with teams such as Charity, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, Apprenticeship and Graduate schemes, and the Strategic Water Resources team working on the White Horse Reservoir project.
You will work closely with leaders and colleagues across the business to create engaging communications that enhance awareness and understanding of Thames Water’s transformation journey, operational improvements, and progress against priorities and values. You will also support the wider internal communications team with business-as-usual communications and key business priorities.
This is a busy and varied role requiring excellent communication skills, the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, and a passion for storytelling that celebrates successes and keeps the organisation informed during challenges. Join us and be part of a purpose-driven team making a real difference as we get Thames Water back on track.
