About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Linklaters’ International Arbitration team as an Intern based in London. The team is a global leader in international arbitration, handling over 100 arbitrations worldwide, including investment treaty disputes and commercial arbitrations for multinational companies, states, and state entities. You will assist both the London and global teams with existing arbitrations, knowhow, and business development projects. The role involves research and drafting on various legal topics such as investment arbitration, public international law, construction law, and energy law. You will support preparation and filing of pleadings, hearing preparation and attendance, review and analysis of documentary evidence, and participate in client meetings and calls. Additional responsibilities include monitoring developments in target jurisdictions, drafting articles for the ArbitrationLinks blog, and involvement in marketing and knowhow initiatives. This role offers a unique chance to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, supportive, and innovative international law firm environment focused on people development and diversity.

Experience
Graduate or post-graduate qualification(s) in international arbitration law and practice. Experience working on international arbitrations within a law firm is ideal, especially involving legal research and drafting submissions. Participation in arbitration moot competitions (e.g., Willem C Vis Moot, FDI Moot), internships in international arbitration, work experience with arbitrators or arbitral institutions, or related fields is highly desirable. Varied language skills are helpful given the international nature of the work.

About you
Highly motivated, team-oriented, and prepared to assist clients and colleagues to meet deadlines, including outside normal office hours. Strong commercial awareness and ability to perform well under pressure while maintaining excellent attention to detail. Able to comprehend, critically analyse, and creatively use large volumes of case information and documents. Fluency in English with a proven track record of sophisticated legal drafting (e.g., pleadings, submissions, journal/research articles).

Qualifications
Graduate or post-graduate qualifications in international arbitration law and practice. No additional qualifications required beyond this, but a strong academic background and relevant practical experience are expected.
