About the Role
Guy’s and St Thomas’ is among the UK’s busiest and most successful NHS foundation trusts, providing a full range of hospital and community services for people in south London, as well as specialist care for patients from further afield. We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic professional to join our management accounts team in a challenging role supporting the Royal Brompton Heart Division, which covers cardio-thoracic, cardiology, and critical care services. This Band 5 post requires experience in a finance environment and for the candidate to be actively studying or seeking to study for a professional accountancy qualification. The post holder will support the accurate delivery of financial reporting to a tight monthly deadline, assist with costing, budget setting, and respond to ad-hoc queries from various budget holders.

Requirements

Experience
Experience in a finance function is essential. Desirable criteria include experience in a large organisation or NHS Finance.

About you
Ability to plan and organise own workload and meet deadlines. Confident user of IT, including Microsoft Office and integrated financial ledger systems. A positive attitude towards change and the ability to work as part of a team are essential.

Qualifications
Educated to Degree Standard and currently studying, or actively seeking to study, towards a professional Accountancy qualification. Desirable criteria include Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) intermediate level.
