Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining quantitative research, analytics and automation platforms; building AI-enabled workflows and tools to improve research and operational efficiency; supporting quantitative research initiatives and index methodology development; investigating and resolving complex data and operational issues; driving improvements in research infrastructure, CI/CD practices and cloud-based solutions; partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver business objectives; providing analytical support and responding to enquiries; and contributing across the full lifecycle of research and product development from idea generation to client delivery.
Experience
Approximately 10 years of experience spanning quantitative research, quantitative development, investment analytics or related disciplines. Strong Python and SQL skills, experience with CI/CD, cloud computing, AI-assisted development tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, VS Code) and modern software engineering practices. Solid understanding of equity markets and quantitative investment techniques including regression analysis, optimisation, factor investing and risk modelling. Experience with financial databases and platforms such as Worldscope, IBES, Lipper, Datastream and Refinitiv Workspace is highly desirable.
About you
An agile, intellectually curious self-starter who can be productive from day one. Effective communicator with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and thrive in a fast-changing environment where required skills may vary daily.
Qualifications
Relevant academic or professional qualifications in quantitative finance, computer science, mathematics, statistics or related fields are advantageous but not explicitly stated. Above all, a strong technical skillset combined with a proactive and adaptable approach is essential.
